One-off switch from your email account to the Email-App Password

To enhance the security of email accounts, the University of Bamberg will in future separate email accounts from user accounts. This will minimise the risk of unauthorised access to internal data.

As a result, a new password is required. The two steps – separating the accounts and setting up a new password – are carried out in the IAM portal. Once the mailbox has been separated, a new username is created and a non-changeable password is generated.
